Welcome to AK Hideaways , my personal collection of hotels that I would describe as truly "gorgeous." Each of these hotels has something different, that certain something that lets you immerse yourself in a carefree world of pleasure, beauty, relaxation, and experiences. Hideaways in the truest sense of the word. Yes, and that's where the name of this website comes from!

For years, I've been searching for exciting subjects as a travel photographer . Originally, I focused on landscapes, landmarks, and nature photography, but I became increasingly fascinated by the hotels where I could enjoy wonderful stays. So, I started hotel photography .

The design, style, and concept of a hotel are very important to me. It may even have a great story to tell. But I place particular value on that certain something of authenticity, personality, and ambiance. Attentive service and passionate performance are what make a hotel truly thrilling for me.

I visited all of the hotels myself and had a wonderful time there. I return to some of these hideaways regularly, and in some cases I've even made personal contacts that I value greatly.

Oh yes – of course, this page is about MY impressions, what's important to ME, as well as snapshots of what I've experienced, which each guest probably perceives differently. But I'm always open to suggestions!
